Donations for Adventure Needed!
We want to give kids with debilitating illness hope and entertainment for the whole family by encouraging parents, siblings, and those struggling with illness to read together, creating lasting, happy memories in a difficult time in their lives. We are doing this because we went through the same experience. Katie, the heroine of the Robert P. Rabbit adventure series, was diagnosed with DIPG, a rare brain tumor at age 9. While in the hospital she simply ran out of things to do and her GrandDad began to read her stories. After realizing the stories made Katie sad because the kids in the books were not like her, confined to a bed or wheelchair, GrandDad searched for stories where kids battling illness were the heroes. He found none. Not one to give up, GrandDad started creating stories of a magical talking rabbit named Robert P. Rabbit that helped Katie solve mysteries of all kinds. They would go to the beach, skiing, ride horses, and travel the world. Katie loved it. Their time spent reading gave them the most precious gift of all, fun time spent together and fond memories. We want to share that experience.
That is where you come in. Your donation will put a copy of Robert P. Rabbit into the hands of children currently fighting critical illness in hospitals and recovery centers around the country. You are welcome to specify a hospital to which the books will be delivered, or let us decide. We will gladly get them where they are needed most.
